The chakra system — rooted in thousands of years of Yogic and Ayurvedic tradition — describes the body as an energy system: seven primary centres, each associated with particular qualities of physical, emotional and spiritual life. When energy flows are supported and balanced, we feel it as aliveness, clarity and peace. In my practice, chakra awareness and gentle energy healing are woven into holistic counselling and transpersonal art therapy — not as a standalone spiritual treatment, but as a deeply embodied, whole-person dimension of the therapeutic journey.

Each chakra corresponds to a specific quality of physical, emotional and spiritual experience. In therapeutic work, they offer a body-map for understanding where energy is moving freely — and where it is asking for attention.

Therapeutic Approach

The Body as Teacher,
the Energy as Guide

Our bodies know things our minds have not yet caught up with. They hold the residue of what has happened to us — the grief not fully grieved, the fear not fully moved through, the joy not fully received.

When we bring awareness to where energy feels contracted, heavy or absent — and where it feels alive, open and flowing — we gain information that can direct the entire therapeutic journey. This is not metaphor. This is the direct experience of the body, honoured and listened to.

For those drawn to a deeply embodied, spiritually aware approach to healing — this dimension of the work can be both illuminating and profoundly settling.

How Energy Work Integrates
Into the Therapeutic Journey

Chakra awareness and energy healing do not replace psychological or creative therapeutic work — they deepen and enrich it. In sessions, this dimension might emerge through guided body awareness, through the images that arise in art-making, through Ayurvedic constitutional understanding, or through direct, gentle energy attunement.

It unfolds organically, always in service of where you are in your journey. There is no fixed protocol or prescribed sequence — just a quality of presence and attention that holds the whole of you.

You don't need to believe to benefit

Many clients engage with the chakra system simply as a useful language for noticing where the body holds tension, ease or aliveness — without making literal claims about energy. The direct experience of the body is what matters most, and that is available to everyone.

This dimension is appropriate for those drawn to a spiritually aware, embodied and whole-person approach. It is woven through all of Jenni's work — not offered as a separate modality.
